Question on Transaction Replication
HiWe have 10 databases on a server and I have a requirement to centralize the data into 1 database in realtime. I was looking at transactional replication and it works well, however, the source tables don't have any information to indicate a source name. So all the data from multiple databases doesn't have the source information to make sense of the data. Adding additional column to the source tables will fix the issue, but we have 250+ tables in each database and an application sitting on it, so adding the new columns will be a hassle.Do you have any suggestions?Thanks

Eliminate Duplicates based on value
New to this board.... not sure if Access SQL is discussed here, but I need this answer to be resolved for Access SQL. I have a field that has 5 different values, for simplicity lets call them ValueA, ValueB, etc.So now for each ID im getting 5 records, one for each value. But all 5 values do not always exist.What I want is to say I want ValueA, and if it doesn't exist then ValueB, and if it doesn't exist then ValueC etc, so that for each ID I only return one entry.

SSIS Package - sql task using stored procedure not populating all columns
Hi,I am having trouble with SSIS package which should insert rows from my Object named EmployeeList.I am not getting an error, but when it inserts into my table it only populates the EmpID column andnot the other 3 columns. It is looping correctly and I am getting all rows(only EmpID column) a total of 287, but no second, third, or fourth columns, they are blank. I put a breakpoint on the foreach loop andI am seeing the user variables being populated with the data from EmployeeList. So, has to be the mapping on the last sql task(one inside the container). Below is my setup of my packages.I must be missing something. Urgent: copy query result and paste to excel get messy result
This is my first time seeing this:I need to query a database on a remote server and copy down the result to my laptop.After I paste it (with header) to excel, the content is NOT the content on the query result, messed up.I cannot save it as csv and copy it out because of the current database/server setting.How could this happen?Any clue is highly appreciated.
